Dr. Mahwish Yousaf is a researcher in machine learning, federated learning, and secure data analytics. Her work spans independent research design, peer-reviewed publication, journal reviewing, university teaching, and postgraduate supervision.
The programme began with a narrow question — why classical Isomap loses the geometry it is meant to preserve — and widened into a broader concern with data that is difficult, incomplete, or privacy-sensitive: scalable manifold methods, tensor-based recovery of missing measurements, and cryptography for systems where the records cannot be pooled.
